Alabama Lawmakers Accountable for Killing HB 347
Our Kids Deserve Better
Across Alabama, children are becoming victims of unregulated AI — and the companies behind these tools know it.
These tools are being used to sexualize children, manufacture revenge porn, and create deepfakes to bully in ways that follow kids everywhere — into their classrooms, their bedrooms, and every corner of their lives. But the AI companies profiting from these tools have refused to act. They are choosing their bottom line over the safety of our children.
House Bill 347 was a direct opportunity for Alabama lawmakers to step in where these companies would not — to draw a legal line and protect our kids. They chose not to.

Our Letter
Why did you not protect our kids?
House Bill 347 was a clear, direct, and desperately needed opportunity to shield Alabama's children from one of the most devastating forms of abuse in the digital age: AI-generated revenge pornography and AI-driven cyberbullying. Tools like Grok are being used right now to create sexualized images and videos of children— to destroy reputations, to terrorize children in their schools, in their bedrooms, and in every corner of their lives.
You had a chance to stop it— to protect our children from harm.
We are calling this what it is: a failure of moral leadership. Whether it was corruption or cowardice, the result is the same. Our children were left exposed and parents powerless against big tech companies.
Our children cannot vote. They cannot lobby. They cannot protect themselves from billion-dollar platforms that profit from their harm. That is your job.
We are demanding accountability and action. We won’t rest until every child in Alabama has the legal protection they deserve.
